The Last Rose is a captivating story of a romance between a Chinese businesswoman

read Until The Wheels Fall Off by Joe Palladino Brittany Palladino
This was a quick read and quite interesting. This book is by a local guy from New Britain who came of age in the late seventies. It is hard to put down once you start it. It will be especially interesting to those who remember those days hanging out in New Britain. Anyone disabled who feels hopeless would benefit by reading his story. The only downside to this book is it doesn't appear to have been edited and can be difficult to read at times because of so many errors. With that being said still worth the read.

read Finding Me by Viola Davis
I always enjoyed watching Viola Davis on the screen but never knew anything about her. I saw Oprah interviewing her about this book and am so glad I decided to read it. Her brutal honesty in telling her life's story is admired. I don't think most rich and famous people would tell all their embarrassing, shameful, secrets they held onto all their lives. I give her a big thumb's up for sharing with the world. I hope releasing it all heals her completely. Best book I've read this year!

I didn't like this book unfortunately, it was very detail oriented and there wasn't much action. The book dragged on with a lot of world building and that wasn't something that interested me after nothing had really happened and I was 400 pages into the book. I finished this book, but I will not be reading the rest of this series although I had high expectations.

This book is about a nurse who gets breast cancer. read The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
This book has been on my TBR for a while, and I very much enjoyed it. I read it in about a week, maybe a little over, and thought it was really good. The plot I think is really scary, as it outlines some of our current societies problems, and how badly they can turn. In that vein, it isn't something you would reach for as a form of escapism, it's more realistic in an uncomfortable way. Definitely would recommend, but also make sure you're in the right headspace before you consume it.

read Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
My favorite book is from this author and it's the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, so of course when I started reading Daisy Jones and The Six I wasn't putting too much pressure on but I did have some expectations. I was BLOWN away by this story. I mean my heart broke for Daisy at times, especially *Spoiler* when she and Billy are on stage alone singing to each other and she says "And I was just singing to the man I loved". Man, this book got me. I read it recently while I was in France and I was so enthralled with it. I read it everywhere!! It was phenomenal and I recommend it to anyone!!

The book starts very aggressively. Mrs. McGillicuddy is on the train and she looks out the window, and the curtain flies up, and she sees a murder. read The Impossible Us by Sarah Lotz
This one really kept my attention. It was a tad slow at first, but then when I got into it, I was pretty hooked. I don’t usually read a lot of fantasy/ sci-fi, (and I somehow missed that twist of it when I read the summary), but I didn’t mind it at all, it was an interesting change. It actually made me think of Casey McQuiston’s second book, One Last Stop—it’s a decently similar premise. And because of this not straight up romance-ness to it, I honestly had no clue how it was going to end the entire time. Usually I can pick up a thread pretty quickly, decide the twists and such, but I honestly had no clue how it’d twist around in this one. And honestly, I’m confused by the ending actually? It seems to end up the way I wanted it to? But it’s also like, ambiguous. So, as much as I was hooked on the story, the ending was kind of a let down. I wanted just a little more clarity for my sake. But I still think I’d recommend
