Do you know a woman that served in WWII? Yes or no a great history of 350,000 women that served as pilots, code breakers, Etc. A great history lesson for everyone not just those who had female relatives that served and the discrimination they faced during and after.

A thriller filled with twists and turns that keeps you guessing until the end. Even then, you’re not quite sure what's really the truth. A thought-provoking ending.
Secrets, lies, obsessions, manipulations, sex, infidelity, murder - this book has it all.
#1 Fiction book on The New York Times Bestseller List.
Note: Originally, self-published in 2018, then republished in hard copy with a bonus chapter that provides the reader with further insight into the truth. I read the 2018 version so I can’t comment on which is better except that the ending definitely kept you thinking about it.

read Queen of Nothing by Holly Black
The last 70 pages or so were a bit anti-climactic somehow, but gosh I ended up loving this series. Jude! We love to hate her. She has zero chill. I love her and Cardan though and all the characters. I'm glad for the comical elements of "human world meets Faerieland" but I'm glad that device isn't used too often and it mostly stays in the realm of Faerie - it makes the few pop culture references super funny.
Well-constructed plots, action, romance, family ties...really enjoyable read.

read Someone in Time: Tales of Time-Crossed Romance by Jonathan Strahan (editor)
An excellent anthology. I had tried to read another anthology of speculative fiction (People's Future of the United States) and found that to be too serious and intense and had to stop. This was light-hearted, the use of "time travel" varied a lot between stories, and the romances were also very different and beautiful. I finished it with a deep feeling of satisfaction. Loved it!

Heart warming story of a family who reunites for what may be Grandma’s last Christmas on the farm; their intention is to move her to a nursing home after the holiday. Her granddaughter, Kate, has been assigned the task of convincing her that it’s for her own good. But Kate knows it will break her grandmother’s heart. As Kate experiences challenges and frustrations in her own life, Grandma understands and fills a journal with stories that provide invaluable life lessons that celebrate family, friends, and faith. Discovering it, Kate sees her life and her grandmother’s in a new light. It is through Grandma’s determination and the sharing of her life experiences that this family, once suffering from grief and misunderstandings, builds a family bond.

A solid 4 stars. This story was a lot deeper than I thought it would be. One day every person in the world over age 21 gets a box. Inside is a string that tells them how long they will live. Would you open the box and find out? Or would you not want to know? The story is about the impact on each character as they grapple with that decision and moreover the outcome. More deeply, its about the changes in so its. This brought out the best and the worst in people. And yet, people adjusted. Def recommend to anyone.

Started slow initially, and plot wrapped up too quickly at the end. The beginning and middle parts of the story I felt could have been more succinct. This story is a "Harold Fry Novel" but can be read by itself. Maureen is the wife of Harold Fry, who in The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, walked over 600 miles to his friend and former co-worker who was dying of cancer.

Highly recommend all three books.

A little hard to get into, but then it really took off. Very likeable characters. I didn't think I'd like it when I started it, but enjoyed it.

Not worth reading. Billed as a "thriller' but nothing thrilling about it.

Bell has written a classic mystery story which takes place in a private school in England. The action is centered around a visiting troupe of actors presenting Twelfth Night by Shakespeare and a cricket game between students and their fathers. The ending is a surprise.

read House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas
First book of this series! Compared to the other books that SJM has put out, this takes place in more modern times with the use of cellphones and other technology. It was quite a difference compared to the other books, but the storyline and such are true to SJM's style of storytelling.
